EU Compass: Empowering Future EU Citizens

The EU Compass project will be implemented in Ekonomska i turistička škola Daruvar, a vibrant educational community committed to preparing students for active and informed citizenship. Recognizing the need to enhance awareness of the European Union’s history, values, and mechanisms, this project will integrate EU-focused learning into the school’s curriculum and extracurricular activities. It will utilize innovative teaching methods and collaborative projects, tailored to the unique needs and strengths of our students, to inspire a deeper connection to the European Union. It will strengthen the understanding of EU topics among students and teachers by incorporating EU-related content into subjects already taught at your school (e.g., history, civics, geography), provide experiential learning opportunities that connect EU policies and values to students’ everyday lives and the local community, empower students to see themselves as active participants in the EU through collaborative projects, cultural activities, and real-world problem-solving and equip teachers with resources and strategies to deliver engaging EU-focused lessons.
