"This project brings together citizens from different EU countries and provides an opportunity for citizens to discover the cultural diversity of the European Union and to realize that European values and cultural heritage are the foundation of a common future. Within the Project, 1 three-day international conference ""EU Culture"" will be organized. The project includes preparatory activities of 4 online meetings, organization of an international event and a reporting period, lasting a total of 10 months. The three-day international event will be organized in town Ig, Slovenia, the leading partner, with participation of 192 foreign and 28 local citizens which makes 220 direct participants, in total. The project involves 3 partners from 3 EU member states: Hungary, Croatia and Slovenia. During the three-day international conference ""EU Culture"", a panel discussion on ""Cultural and creative sector, opportunities and challenges"", an interactive lecture on ""Folk traditions in order to preserve their identities as a contribution to a comprehensive European identity"" will be organized. Two round tables, one will bring together participants and debate on gender equality and the other will bring together younger and older participants and debate on European values and one workshop on cooperation at the local level. Accompanying elements of the event are Carnival events and parades organized within the festival ""Under the Crimea Carnival"", which are aimed at citizens, especially to attract younger generations, where participants, representatives of different cultures and communities through music present their cultural heritage in the best way promote differences and common European values. Mutual understanding and tolerance are promoted through music, thus contributing to a better understanding of the dynamics and multi-layered nature of European identity."
