EU Democratic Intelligence, Empowerment and Imagination is a comprehensive work program to reinforce and renew the democratic ecosystem of the EU and promote citizen participation involving all member states. It involves large public activities to energise and diversify EU publics, including Transeuropa Festival of citizenship in Greece engaging women, LGBTQI+, Roma, mobile citizens and migrants to build awareness of European citizenship in multiple dimensions through innovative, creative and participative activities, and the rivers of democracy tours to bring European participation to smaller cities and towns. It includes training and education programs throughout the EU on citizenship rights, political participation, AI and democracy, gender and health rights and best practices of intersectional solidarity and mobilisation of feminist and civil society organisations, targeted at young people, minorities, journalists, trade unionist and municipal workers. A program of assemblies mainstreaming feminist and creative facilitation techniques acts as a pilot of a permanent people's assembly for EU to work on defending and extending fundamental rights. Networking of independent media promoting citizen participation follows up on COFOE to create participative, trustworthy and respectful public spheres. Campaigns and policy advocacy on political participation, anti-discrimination, LGBTQI+ rights and ensuring grassroots voices from across EU are taken in account in the policies defending democracy. An engaging multilingual communications and dissemination program of journals, social media, websites, podcasts, and documentary videos diversifies the voices that are heard in European democracy. Transnational Fora bringing together civil society, academics, practitioners and political representatives ensure a democratic dialogue. The program will involve over 9000 people directly, network hundreds of small and medium NGOs, and sees activities in at least 16 NUTS 3 regions.
