" The University of Gjirokastra has presented a new project that aims to address the shortcomings in education related to EU issues in the southern region of Albania, where future public administrators study. University will contribute to strengthening ties with EU regions, fostering cross-border cooperation, and promoting a shared approach to common challenges. Project will provide education on EU affairs to students and expertise to government officials, focusing on : - First, A quality academic curriculum in higher education, ""Governance Basics"", European for students of Public Administration, in the third year Bachelor. Students will learn appropriate knowledge of EU institutions at this level. - Second: Open Forum: 15-week EU Dimensions Course. This innovative program empowers citizens and officials to participate in governance by promoting EC policies. Participants include students, educators, researchers, public administrators, local leaders, journalists, and civil society representatives, etc. Our team, led by a lecturer with a Ph.D. in EU administration, boasts prominent international and national experts, including government officials, professors, journalists, members of the municipal council, and activists. By leveraging networks, support, and innovation, we can significantly impact development. An online platform will be created that fosters interaction, improves information and promotes European values in a changing world. Results, 2 student groups, forum course for each year, as well as 3 articles, 1 EU governance book published. Excellent sustainability stems from educating future generations, from the region's only university. Open forums improve regional governance, trust and ties with the EC. ERASMUS-JMO-2025-MODULE project aims to establish the University of Gjirokastra as a regional center for EU studies.
