The EU Netz BB will contribute to - Increasing the economic strength of the small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) in the region – and thus the competitiveness of the capital region – through improved access to international markets, research, development and innovation, thereby securing and creating new, more value-creating jobs. - Supporting the SMEs in the capital region in the initiation of cross-border European and International collaboration and thereby the level of internationalization of Berlin and Brandenburg companies. - Integration of regional business in Berlin and Brandenburg into the European research and innovation area by supporting SMEs in participation in cross-border, European programs and projects, particularly in H2020/Horizon Europe, as well as in transnational technology transfer, thus increasing investment and external funding for businesses in the capital region. - Dissemination of information about European programs and initiatives in the areas of energy efficiency, and climate and environmental protection, thus promoting CO2-reducing, climate-friendly energy and resource-efficient business ideas and models from SMEs in the capital region. - Improved access to financing options for small and medium-sized businesses in the capital region, thus improving opportunities in the introduction of newer, more innovative products. - Information and introduction of SMEs to initiatives by the EU Commission for the SME sector and the instrumentalization of the EU-Netz BB as a point of knowledge and contact for Europe-related issues and concerns of companies and research facilities in the capital region, thus establishing a feedback channel to the EU Commission for representing the interests of business in Berlin and Brandenburg. - Integration of the EU-Netz BB into the regional network of business to secure customer orientation, thus increasing the effectiveness of the EEN activities in Berlin and Brandenburg.
