EU-Project weeks

"This project contains ordinary education about the EU, field trips to EU affiliated institutions and 2 weeks each year fully dedicated to EU-projects. Project weeks The first week is about investigating different EU-related matters, for example how EU-legislation in different areas affects Sweden in general and the students in particular. This will take place in the autumn - for 2025 it is planned for October 20th to October 34th. This week will focus on how the Swedish MEP:s work in relation to their voters and promises made before the election. The second week is set on Järvaveckan. Järvaveckan describes itself as ""one of Sweden’s most important events for socially engaged businesses, associations, authorities, politicians, and citizens."" There the students will present their findings from the previous projects to the public, aswell as conduct complimentary investigations on the subject with politicians, businesses, associations and other visitors. This will take place in the early summer - for 2026 it is planned for June 11th to June 14th. Field trips Every class will visit and participate in the role play at Upplev Europa - Europa Experience - in Stockholm. A smaller number of students will participate in a trip to the European Parliament in Brussels. Ordinary education Before the first project week the lessons in Social Science will focus its education on the EU to give the students a foundation of knowledge before the first project week. Calculation of hours per year: Ordinary education: 10 hours Project weeks: 48 hours EU-ambassdors (EPAS): 10 hours Total number of hours per year: 68 hours"
