Description | In accordance with the Association Agreement with the EU, Ukraine implements EU directives on environmental protection, including renewable energy strategy. Analysis and promotion of the European experience in the framework of the European Green Deal strategy will bring Ukraine closer to a carbon-neutral economic model. Objectives of the Module: to disseminate in Ukraine best practices in teaching and research in the field of renewable energy in the EU; increase students' awareness in the EU's renewable energy strategy; to promote an active dialogue between the academic community and the public; generate knowledge and ideas to support the EU's key role in shaping environmental and energy policy on the European continent and the globalized world at large. The Module includes a university teaching course on EU renewable energy strategy for undergraduate students in Environmental Science and annual Jean Monnet Winter School for secondary education and civil society representatives. The project has three main target groups: undergraduate students, representatives of secondary schools, civil society and the public. The module will include a teaching course for undergraduate students in Environmental Science (60 academic hours per year), an additional teaching course for undergraduate students in other specialties of National University of Food Technologies (NUFT) (40 academic hours per year) and annual Jean Monnet Winter Schools (18 academic hours). In total, the Module will include 354 contact hours and will cover at least 330 students / leaners over 3 years. Jean Monnet Winter Schools will involve representatives of secondary education, civil society and the public in disseminating the project results, sharing the values of the project at the national level. The project website will contribute to the dissemination of the Module's knowledge and will present the Module's teaching materials and research publications for the wide audience. |
