Description | The Jean Monnet Module is aimed at teaching and studying the European trends of sustainable development in climate and energy sectors, which is necessary to give students and young professionals knowledge of EU-related disciplines that would be relevant to their academic and professional spheres and to strengthen their civic skills in an emerging climate-neutral economy. The Action’s objective is to deeper study policy strategy and practical experience of the EU regarding environmental, energy and climate objectives, development of qualifications and competences required to ensure energy security, increase energy efficiency and decarbonization of economy, and at the same time to foster teachers and researchers in the field of integration of the European education system. Combating climate change and transition to the climate-neutral society require considerable investments, studies and innovations, new methods of manufacturing and consumption, as well as changes how we work, use resources and transport and live together. Need for turning climate and ecological problems into opportunities in all fields of economics and politics requires new qualifications and competences, methods of managing national innovation processes, and serves as a driver for the technological update of sectors and creation of new workplaces. Following the objectives of the Copenhagen process, the outcomes of the completed Jean Monnet Module are acquired and showed key competences ensuring: - readiness to apply European experience in Russia to create thriving, competitive and climate-neutral economy, - preparation for the labor market, development of employment in conditions of climate and energy sustainable development, - dissemination of the outcomes of studies and European practices in the field of ensuring welfare as part of ecological, energy and climate opportunities of the planet, - collaboration in the field of environmental education between the European Union and Russia. |
