EU learning has not yet been the focus of higher education in Taiwan, especially in the aspects of EU study degree and EU courses availability, which make students with insufficient or superficial knowledge on the EU. We consider the most important thing at the current stage of EU education is to prevail EU studies through multi-EU disciplines in which more students with related discipline backgrounds will be attracted and to learn the EU from a comprehensive perspective which in turn support their appreciation on EU’s values and goals. As a result building from the past efforts on cross-colleges integrating of EU courses at NTU, the EU Study Scheme has become a comprehensive EU learning programme capable of providing students to learn and to appreciate the EU. In this project, we plan to integrate one course on substantial development into the Scheme to present to our students regarding EU’s progress and leading role in these areas. To reduce the cost, we will provide students enhancing learning opportunity through three complementary events. A brief background on National Taiwan University (hence, NTU) and European Union Centre in Taiwan (hence, EUTW) will be introduced. Milestones of the EU Study Scheme will be stated. Three methodologies support the design concept to make the objectives of this project reachable and are coherent to support our ambition as well as the impacts of this project. After the project ends, the process of cross-college integration on EU courses at NTU will be postponed, however, the EU Study Scheme will continue to operate toward its aim. On the other hand, the directing structures of EUTW Consortium Universities Steering Committee and the NTU EU Teaching Community will remain to provide their functions for collaborating promotion on EU studies.
