EU Youth Dialogue NWG Ireland 2022-2024. The EU Youth Strategy 2019-27 and EU Youth Goals provide us with a framework for the EU Youth Dialogue process in Ireland and we aim to engage, connect, and empower young people, particularly those that are marginalised through the EU Youth Dialogue process. The aim of the EU Youth Dialogue project implemented by the National Youth Council of Ireland on behalf of the national working group of the EU Youth Dialogue process in Ireland is to engage young people living in Ireland in the EU Youth Dialogue process for cycle 9 and 10. Through the EU Youth Dialogue process in Ireland, the National Youth Council of Ireland, with the members of the National Working Group on EU Youth Dialogue, in partnership with young people will increase the engagement in the process. We will organise and deliver consultation and implementation events; training, support and capacity building for young people and the youth work sector to empower and connect young people with policy makers to influence policy and facilitate young people as agents of change. We will engage young people from diverse backgrounds and seldom heard young people with policy makers, incorporating an intergenerational approach, in influencing policy at a national and European level. The objectives of this project are to use various methodologies to meaningfully engage young people in the EU Youth Dialogue process. In Ireland we call the EU Youth Dialogue process Young Voices. Young Voices explicitly recognises and channels the expertise and commitment of young people who are looking for a place to develop, practice and engage their activism and political skills in a strategic way. Young Voices welcomes, understands, and facilitates young people as co-producers of policy processes and outcomes.
