The EU Youth Strategy 2019-27 and EU Youth Goals provide us with a framework for the EU Youth Dialogue process in Ireland and we aim to engage, connect, and empower young people, particularly those that are marginalised through the EU Youth Dialogue process. The aim of the EU Youth Dialogue (EUYD) project in Ireland, implemented by the National Youth Council of Ireland on behalf of the national working group on EU Youth Dialogue, is to engage young people in cycle 11 and 12 of the EUYD process from Jan 2025-Dec 2027 and bring them together with policy and decision making so that they can influence the decisions that affect them and young people at a local, regional, national, European and global level. The objectives of this project are to use various methodologies to meaningfully engage young people in the EU Youth Dialogue process. We will organise events, focus groups, training, and mentoring. We will facilitate and build the capacity of a core group of young people to plan, co design and assist in the implementation of the project. Young Voices EUYD explicitly recognises and channels the expertise and commitment of young people who are looking for a place to develop, practice and engage their activism and political skills in a strategic way. The objectives of this project are to use various methodologies to meaningfully engage young people in the EU Youth Dialogue process. In Ireland we call the EU Youth Dialogue process Young Voices.
