Description

Description

Eucrim is a well established online journal (with 2000 print copies per issue available) that serves as a Europe-wide forum for European criminal law and the protection of the EU’s financial interests. It encourages the discussion among both practitioners and academics, hence it allows the readers to perform a deep analysis on the current affairs. Eucrim contains both news on developments in European criminal law and articles. The news section provides summaries of latest developments based on internet links referring to more detailed information (if available, in English, French and German). The news section structures and summarizes current developments concerning the protection of the EU’s financial interests and European criminal law not only in a concise but also in a systematic way. Focus is given to fundamental developments and crimes that affect the legal interests of European citizens and of the EU itself, such as crimes detrimental to the EU budget. The article section of the journal includes scientific and policy analyses with regard to the protection of the EU’s financial interests or other relevant topics of European criminal law. The articles are regularly headed under a focal topic. Alongside the news section and the guest editorial, the article section thus contributes to the publication of scientific knowledge concerning the protection of the financial interests of the EU. In addition, announcements of and reports on conferences or projects in the field of the protection of the EU’s financial interests and European criminal law are published, in particular those organised or carried out under the Hercule Programme. Aa a result, the periodical contributes to raising awareness on the fight against fraud and fraud prevention. Eucrim is edited by the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law, Freiburg. i.Br., Germany.
