Description
Description | The project will develop a vertical syllabus of European Civic Education (ECE) and its related teaching materials and propose them through various Teachers Training courses inserted in the Sofia Platform, the official platform for teachers training by the Ministry of Education. Second level secondary school teachers - Seven courses will be offered, each targeting one of the following subjects: geography; philosophy; law; economics; sciences; foreign languages. Develop and then offer 2 editions of a one-year Specialization course on European and Multi-level Civic Education (blended) for max 70 teachers per year: 60 CFU/ETS All courses will be articulated in five (or six) modules: an initial survey, assessing the teachers’ initial knowledge of, and perceptions about, the EU; a methodological introduction, focusing on the need to overcome methodological nationalism (as defined by Ulrich Beck) in favor of a multi-level and pluralistic approach; the European Union; a presentation of the vertical ECE syllabus, to be developed at the beginning of the project, focusing on the specific subject and school level that constitutes the specific target of that course; modules, lessons, teaching materials, simulation games, examples of project, activities and resources, helping teachers incorporating EU-related issues in their teaching; a final survey, assessing the teachers’ progress in their knowledge of the EU. |
