The "view over the border" is not yet taken for granted in many vocational schools. While a stay abroad at universities is almost an obligatory program, the barrier effect of the border is still clearly noticeable when it comes to job-specific education in the euregio. Often a cross-border career fails because of small things like application wrong documents or missing language skills. At the same time, for companies in the border region, a sense of the neighboring country and of European cooperation is indispensable. With the "euregio-Xperience 2.0" project, euregio rhein-maas-nord, together with several vocational colleges and MBO schools from the border region, is building on the positive results of the predecessor project. With additional activities and an even stronger focus on cross-border exchanges and links with businesses, 600 pupils and apprentices should be able to get a taste of the labor market in the neighboring country. As a result, nothing stands in the way of a successful euregional career and a further step towards a common German-Dutch job market is created by the project.
