Description

Description

EURES T AA 2026-28 The EURES Cross-Border Andalusia Algarve 2026–2028 (EURES-T AA) project aims to reinforce cross-border labor mobility between Andalusia (Spain) and Algarve (Portugal), building on a robust partnership established in 2017. With 24 beneficiary and associated partners—including public employment services, social partners, universities, chambers of commerce, and local governments—the project seeks to create a solid, inclusive, and sustainable cross-border employment space. It focuses on eliminating mobility barriers, fostering fair job opportunities, and enhancing the integration of the Andalusia-Algarve labor markets. The project addresses persistent challenges identified in previous editions, including excessive bureaucracy, lack of accessible information for workers and employers, limited cross-border public transport, institutional asymmetries, language barriers, and difficulties in mutual recognition of professional qualifications. It places strong emphasis on digitalization and sustainability, aligning with the EU Green Deal and Digital Strategy, and explores employment potential in emerging sectors like renewable energy, particularly green hydrogen, as well as digital industries and the silver economy. The project is structured into six work packages (WPs): WP1: Management and coordination; WP2: Job intermediation and tailored services for workers and employers; WP3: Cross-border training and internships; WP4: Labor market analysis and cultural initiatives; WP5: Communication and outreach; WP6: Spain–Portugal cooperation forum. Expected outcomes include improved job matching, stronger training systems, enhanced institutional cooperation, and greater visibility of cross-border opportunities, positioning the Andalusia-Algarve region as a European reference for sustainable and inclusive labor mobility.
