Our plan for 2022-2023 is based on our previous action plans and is a direct continuation of our plan for 2020-2021. The plan for 2020-2021 was severely influenced by the Covid pandemic, both the implementation and results as most activities had to be changed or even cancelled. The proposed project is in a way a re-launch or re-activation of EURES services in Iceland. We remain pragmatic in our approach. EURES IS is a small unit in comparison to EURES in most other countries, but we have the advantage of being well integrated into PES. For each work package proposed we ask ourselves how we will be able to make the most of our limited resources (financial and human) of EURES combined with tools and resources available to us by PES. The daily work of EURES in Iceland has the objective of facilitate job matching between Iceland and other EU/EEA countries. Our two main specific objectives that all tasks and activities under the four work packages presented are aimed to support are number of advertised EURES vacancies and number of confirmed placements. In 2022 our target is 400 advertised vacancies and 140 placements, in 2023 the target is 450 advertised vacancies and 180 confirmed placements. All other activies and tasks are meant to support these ojectives. Our main target groups are domestic employers and foreign jobseekers, especially employers within tourism and foreign jobseekers looking for work within the sector. We also target our EURES staff and other PES staff that have an important role in the service delivery of EURES.
