Description | The EuroCZFactory project is an EU-funded initiative aimed at strengthening Europe's capabilities in silicon ingot and wafer manufacturing. It targets the manufacturing gap in Europe's solar PV value chain by developing technologies and processes for silicon crystal growth and wafer production using the Czochralski method. The project aims to support at least three new crystal growth plants in Europe by 2031 and enable more than 5GWp/year of new silicon ingot manufacturing capacity by the mid-2030s. |
