EURODOC constitutes an observatory on the panorama of contemporary creative documentary production. Its primary mission is the organisation of a yearly training program addressed to European producers (+ 30% of non-European) with a creative documentary project in development, and more largely to professionals involved in the support of documentary production. The main objectives of the training are to improve the development of documentary projects with international potential, to provide a deep insight into technological changes, to reinforce the international dimension of small and medium-sized companies, to encourage transnational cooperation, to set up a sustainable networking of skills and exchanges, to take into account the specific needs of professionals in European countries with low audio-visual capacity and to contribute to the sharing of good practices of fair co-production and to sustaining diversity, inclusion and environmental friendly production. The training is structured in 3 one-week residential sessions, held in 3 different European venues, between March and October. Online activities are organized in between the sessions. Throughout the training, all of the basic fundamentals of production are covered. Participants acquire skills and know-how and improve their projects. They become part of a large network composed of more than 1000 film professionals from 60 countries around the world: former participants, experts, partners. The 2022 edition of EURODOC will accompany around 75 professionals: up to 30 participants in the yearly training program and up to 15 in each one of the three local groups. With online activities (panels, masterclasses) and screenings organised within the frame of the training or of the many collaborations, EURODOC will reach out more than 300 people. We will involve a total of around 75 experts for the tutoring, the analysis of the project, masterclasses, plenaries, case studies, one-to-one meetings.
