Description

Description

The French Centre for Studies and Research on Qualification (CEREQ), designated body for the European Network of Graduate Tracking, is committed to develop a Eurograduate-compatible experimental tracking survey, thus, ensuring for the first time the participation of France to the Eurograduate initiative. The proposed methodology deals with a moving environment in France where significant investments are being made by the Ministry in charge of higher education and research for developing a new architecture for producing graduate follow-up data based on administrative sources called InserSup. In parallel, there is still a strong trust on tracking surveys as a complementary and more exhaustive, source of information on graduates’ pathways, personal development and careers evolutions. Therefore, for this first Eurograduate undertaking in France, Céreq proposes to articulate its long standing Génération survey data source with the raising Ministry’s InserSup information system, currently under development and soon open to consultation for research purposes. The expected outcome will be two different set of data for the two cohorts, one based on InserSup administrative data (T+1) and one, more complete, built on Génération 2021 survey (T+5). Céreq longstanding experience on data production and analysis will ensure high quality standards and comparability among the two cohorts. This mixed methodology is based on solid, reliable statistical data and what is all the more important, it will pave the way for stronger interoperability among InserSup and Génération, thus ensuring future participation of France in the next Eurograduate editions. To reach this objective this application combines Option 1 for cohort T+1 (InserSup data) with Option 4 plus prefilling for T+5 cohort (Génération data).
