The EuroLibrary project aspires to bridge the gap between European mobility participants and the local communities that host them, transforming the conventional mobility experience into one marked by deep, one-on-one human interactions. Rooted in the concerning findings of Eurobarometer surveys regarding discrimination within the EU, this project endeavors to promote inclusivity, tolerance, and understanding across diverse European communities through meaningful and personal exchanges. At the heart of EuroLibrary are the mobilities organized across different European countries, each embodying a unique theme (e.g., mental health, eco-living, migration, healthy lifestyle, entrepreneurship) and employing green travel methods to underscore the importance of sustainability. These mobilities, conceptualized as Human Libraries, encourage participants to share their stories directly with locals, facilitating mutual learning and understanding. Additionally, the project aims to leverage digital platforms to increase the visibility and impact of these narratives. A digital hub will host podcasts, aftermovies, documentaries, and a digital library, creating a comprehensive online repository of stories and experiences that underscore the shared European identity. A pivotal component of EuroLibrary is the creation of a methodology handbook on implementing EuroLibrary mobilities, enabling organizations to replicate and tailor the project's principles to their contexts. This initiative not only seeks to enrich participants' mobility experience but also contributes to the broader goal of fostering a culture of diversity and acceptance across Europe.
