Description
Description | "The Jean Monnet Europe: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow project arises as a response to the needs we see in students and in our society in general in terms of ignorance of the European Union, so, our objective with this project is to create citizenship and a feeling of European belonging throughout the educational community, raising awareness of the importance of being part of this Union. With a comprehensive approach, the project will focus on the historical roots that led to the formation of the EU, the analysis of current challenges and achievements and the future projection for the Union focusing on promoting EU values in the educational community, such as: freedom, tolerance and non-discrimination. The elaboration of this project has been designed to be carried out on an annual basis, especially with the students of 1st BAC who are studying the subject of Research Projects. The reason is that we have four hours a week and due to the skills and maturity of the students we see it appropriate to project our objectives with these students, who will become transmitters of everything they learn and as we progress with the project, we have other subjects and in different courses to carry out this project. The name of the project comes from the idea that among all the activities that are designed to be carried out, the students will make a journey composed of three phases: A). The ""Yesterday"" phase will study the most important moments in European history. B). In the ""Today"" phase, an approach will be made to the economic, political and social aspects that characterize the European Union nowadays. C). The ""Tomorrow"" phase will focus on future scenarios for Europe and directions for European integration will be explored. The project aims to provide a comprehensive vision of the history of Europe up to nowadays, creating in our educational community a sense of belonging that allows us all to address present challenges and anticipate the path to the future." |
