Description

Description

European Circular Online Museum – Engaged in Communities (EU-COM-E) aims to empower artists, designers, and community facilitators to actively engage with communities, using their creative practices to promote social inclusion while upholding the values of environmental protection and circular lifestyles. Building on the success of the previous Creative Europe project and its flagship result—the European Circular Online Museum platform—EU-COM-E focuses on strengthening the social impact of circular, socially, and environmentally engaged art. The project focuses on creatives who engage, or wish to engage, with vulnerable groups—such as migrants, refugees, minorities, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and others—through inclusive, community-based artistic practices.. Key elements are: - A community reporting and needs assessment phase involving 30 storytelling interviews across three cities; - A two-stage European open call, targeting at least 50 applicants from 10+ countries, including Ukraine; - Capacity-building workshops (local and online) for selected participants; - Three international art residencies (Berlin, Paris, Potenza), each co-creating inclusive art actions with 15+ local participants; - Local dissemination events and a final EU-COM-E Art Fest in Berlin, reaching at least 120 audience members; - Ongoing expansion of the Circular Online Museum with 9 new learning modules, good practices, and digital content Expected results include enhanced skills among participating artists and educators, the implementation of three co-designed social art projects, improved access to digital training tools, and increased public awareness of circular, community-engaged art. The project is coordinated by CRN (Germany) with partners COTA (France) and Il Salone dei Rifiutati (Italy). With additional outreach to Ukraine and North Africa, EU-COM-E fosters cross-border cooperation and reinforces Europe’s commitment to inclusion, sustainability, and cultural solidarity.
