Project will support set of workshops performed jointly by 2 towns: Pornic from France and Omegna from Italy. Also, under the project frame, partners will exchange and disseminate good practices amongst public authorities and civil society organisations. It is expected direct participation of 172 participants, where 86 foreign participants will take part as invited guests. Each of 2 events will engage 86 direct participants where 43 participants will be invited from other country. Project will start on 15th February 2022 and will be ended until 15th December 2022. General objective is to organise joint events and prepare twinning of towns. Pornic will be represented by Pornic Twinning Association, which aims to foster and coordinate friendly exchanges of family, professional, sporting, cultural, social associations with the Twin Cities and organize meetings, visits or stays in a spirit of understanding and solidarity, as well as language workshops, cultural and creative activities to promote twinning and to forge lasting friendships with our European friends. The theme of literary and sports culture, as a cement of friendship between peoples and the discovery of the other, would be a means of social cohesion within the European Union allowing us to question our two municipalities. These exchanges could take place around founding texts, such as Pinocchio, which is part of the cultural heritage common to our two cultures but would also be supported and enriched by actions around the texts of the famous writer for young people of Omegna, Gianni Rodari. The idea of children’s literature can create or consolidate a common language, a common experience for people engaged in these exchanges. Moreover, in addition to these common literary activities, sports exchanges, organized by the different associations of our both towns, will allow to forge friendly ties across the language barrier sports exchanges.
