Description
Description | EELISA brings together 10 European HEIs of different sizes and specialisations and 194,000 students, 18,500 faculty and 12,000 staff, united to advance education, research and innovation in Europe to make our societies more inclusive, digitalised and sustainable. EELISA builds on the achievements of its previous Erasmus+ action under the European Universities initiative and branch projects under Horizon 2020 and the EIT HEI initiative, following the slogan “Building Bridges. Bridging Boundaries”. In its roll-out phase, it keeps its engineering focus, broadening the range of disciplinary domains to natural and social sciences and humanities to engage the full composition and strengths of all our institutions. During its roll-out, our Alliance will advance towards its renewed long-term ambition along three main areas and nine specific objectives: First, EELISA will reinforce the idea of our European University as a sustainable Alliance growing depth, scope, diversity and ambition, by working towards an integrated governance model supported by a hub-spoke management structure (SO1), strengthening the attractiveness, diversity and impact of our overall partnership (SO2) and consolidating our project portfolio (SO3). Secondly, EELISA will foster joint, innovative and flexible learning opportunities, seamlessly accessible throughout our campuses in all mobility formats (SO4) and including joint programmes (SO5), short-term educational and training offer for lifelong learners through micro-credentials (SO6) as well as transnational internships and apprenticeships (SO7). Finally, EELISA will consolidate its shared ecosystem of EELISA Communities as learning labs of systemic, structural and sustainable cooperation and responsible engagement with society, unleashing their potential across all missions, by promoting challenge-oriented activities under joint open calls (SO8) and fostering a strong network for talent and joint innovation ecosystem (SO9). |
