European experience of adaptation to climate change: concept of energy security

"The effects of climate change lead to the search for innovative approaches to the economical use of natural resources by strengthening transnational cooperation. Energy security undergoes risks at the level of production, storage, distribution, supply and consumption of energy. Seasonal decrease or increase in demand for energy resources at the consumers’ level due to climate change has a negative impact on the energy system balancing. Improving the efficiency of the transnational energy market, ensuring energy efficiency and energy saving of enterprises and households anticipate the transition to the production, marketing and consumption of ""green"" energy. With this in mind, the project in the form of a training module aims to expand public knowledge about the European experience of adaptation to climate change in the energy security through transition to intersectoral cooperation on the basis of circular consumption of energy from renewable sources. The sustainability of the project is to use the European experience of adaptation to climate change to strengthen regional energy security and to develop measures for the introduction of climate neutral technologies through regional cluster of industries, which will deepen European integration processes in Ukraine within the European Green Deal, the new EU Strategy on Adaptation to Climate Change and post-COVID-19 revitalization economy."
