Description
Description | The EFJCA is a legal entity and officially recognized European network of Family Justice Centers (FJC) and related multi-agency centers. Since 2022, it is recognized by the EC and receives an operating grant within the CERV Operating Grants Framework Partnerships. In line with the Istanbul Convention and the EU directive on combating violence against women and domestic violence, the EFJCA promotes multi-agency cooperation and the one-stop-shop approach and offers a central platform for its members. The EFJCA strengthens knowledge, shares best practices, and fosters collaboration in addressing gender-based violence and domestic violence. Its goal is to develop and implement an effective multidisciplinary approach, with a focus on empowering survivors. The EFJCA sets standards to ensure high-quality cooperation and pays special attention to victims with intersectional needs and addresses femicide, non-fatal strangulation and cyberviolence. FJCs are key example of this approach, a multidisciplinary center where public and private agencies assign staff to provide comprehensive services to victims from one location. The overall objectives of the EFJCA: - Improving and strengthening the capacity of FJCs and related multidisciplinary centers as strong, dynamic and sustainable holistic multi-agency models in Europe. - Promoting and supporting the startup of new FJC’s and related models in Europe. - Providing and improving knowledge and teaching professionals the skills and use of evidence-based tools to tackle gender-based violence and domestic violence. - Creating strong & sustainable cross-professional & -country networks. - Raising awareness and knowledge among policymakers, governments, civil society. - Providing FJCs and related centers with the knowledge and tools to maintain high quality standards in line with the EU values. - Involving Voices in the work of the EFJCA, FJCs and related multidisciplinary models. |
