Description

EFC is an Audience development tool for European film promotion among millennial European cinema-lovers and seriephiles. EFC started as a contest and now gathers a broad spectrum of activities and editorial formats around an engaged and young (≤35 years) community of 55k followers, 91K users on the website, 3276 unique films, and 8K average players by edition. EFC elements are: (1)The Challenge: participants watch 10 EU films over 10 weeks on legal media through 3 primary contests per year. There is a winner per territory, rewarded with A-Film Festival access. (2)Influencer Program & Podcast: Contest to encourage young movie critics to stand out. The winners prepare video reviews, podcasts, and posts to recommend EU films. (3)Films&Friends: Fans gatherings to discover the upcoming EU releases. Events where the audience and the industry meet to get one-to-one feedback on campaigns. (4)Promotion Packages: We collaborate steadily with distributors like Disney, Elamedia, Karma, and Under the Milky Way, to promote their films across their territories. (5)Audience study: In 2021, we’ve built the first Machine Learning EFC model that analysed European Cinema Lovers' profiles. The new innovations: (6)Data clustering and digest reports: we will extend the scope of our market study to other countries to profile a wider EU audience. In partnership with SODA Digital-I, we will deliver quarterly reports with VOD data. (7)Pan-European Scale: 2022 we add Belgium, France, Germany, Hungary, and Slovenia to the existing grouping: Bosnia, Italy, Latvia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Portugal, Serbia, and Spain, counting 13 countries.(8)Discord community: Private server to elevate the interactions among participants and transform social media followers into a real Pan-European club of cinema lovers. (9) Quizzes:Time-limited quizzes to score extra points racing the competition and boosting picked European films. (10)Film Club: young film professionals boost with the Futur@Cinéma collaboration.
