European Film Distribution 2025

forthcoming

Independent Films is one of the largest independent film distributors in the Netherlands, distributing a wide variety of films (US blockbusters, Dutch commercial films and European commercial, cross-over and arthouse films). We plan to reinvest the generated potential MEDIA fund in the theatrical release costs of non-national European films (promotion and publicity campaign and supplying dubbed or subtitled prints to the cinema theatres) and in the acquisition of distribution rights of eligible non-national European Films (i.e. French, Italian, German, ...), by means of minimum guarantees. Thanks to the MEDIA Program, we will be able to enhance the promotion of cultural cooperation within the European market, which is essential. We expect to reinvest the MEDIA grant into two (2) to four (4) films (either in distribution rights acquisition or P&A expenses).
