B-Plan Distribution intends to continue its commitment to distributing non-national European films over the next two years. While the company initially focused primarily on domestic productions, its strategic direction has shifted since 2022—when it first applied for MEDIA automatic support— also towards European arthouse titles from outside Finland. During this period, the company seeks to deepen its collaboration with filmmakers and sales agents operating beyond the Finnish borders. More specifically, B-Plan plans to secure distribution rights—supported by minimum guarantees—for one to two non-national European films slated for release between 2025 and 2027. These projects will also benefit from enhanced promotion, marketing, and advertising efforts. Through this development, B-Plan aims above all to diversify the local theatrical film offering by including a wider range of European cinema, thereby expanding the audience for such works in Finland. Additionally, the company strives to further solidify its position both as a local distributor and as an employer, by investing in the skills, motivation, and expertise of its team.
