European Film Distribution (Media Automatic) 2022. The grant will be used for the theatrical release and distribution of 5-10 high-quality non-domestic European films for both children, youth and adults. With this grant we will have the possibility to release these films with a bigger p&a budget to reach out to a bigger audience, and also acquire films with higher MG than we normally do. The goal of arthaus is to release the best films out there and make them available to audiences all over Norway, both in arthouse cinemas in the big cities as well as smaller cinemas in the remote parts of the country. We do take diversity seriously and try to curate a line-up with films form both male and female directors, with a great variation of topics, genres and cinema language. arthaus is one of the leading Norwegian theatrical distributor of high-quality and independent films from all corners of the world. We are five employees, three women and two men.
