Cinemundo was incorporated in 2014 and it operates since then in the movie distribution business in Portugal and Portuguese speaking countries in Africa across all windows (theatrical, homevideo, digital, TV). The company is fully owned and managed by senior executives with a solid track record in this sector. The company has been specially focused on the distribution of European movies for theatrical release and its investment strategy shall continue to be developed in the increase of its catalogue of European movies. Its market share in theatrical distribution has been increasing significantly over the years and Cinemundo’s market share in 2021 was 30,7%. Cinemundo's catalogue includes more than 100 European pictures, not only works of fiction (comedies, dramas, animations), but also documentaries. Some of the films focus on diversity and inclusion issues. Most of these pictures have been released theatrically, as this is our primary goal for European films.
