Description

Description

At a time when sustainability and financial resilience shape the future of the EU, the FINforEU Chair takes on the challenge of increasing knowledge and raising awareness on such ardent issues. By bridging the gap between academia and society, the Chair empowers students and the larger society to better understand the financial dimensions of sustainability and resilience, inspiring them to take an active role in shaping EU policies and priorities. By increasing the availability of EU studies, the Chair help students demystify complex financial and sustainability challenges in the EU. Beyond its educational mission, the Chair serves as a hub for dialogue, bringing together policymakers, business leaders, and the wider public to exchange knowledge and ideas. Through research, teaching, and outreach activities, it generates insights that contribute to EU policymaking and strengthen the EU’s global role. To achieve its objectives, the Chair introduces 6 specialized courses on EU topics, including 2 newly developed and 3 enhanced ones, accompanied by a comprehensive booklet of teaching materials. Knowledge dissemination extends beyond the classroom through a bi-annual newsletter, annual series of workshops, webinars, roundtables, field labs, student expos, and an international conference. Research plays a key role, with findings presented at international conferences and published in high-impact journals. A strong focus on outreach ensures that the project’s impact extends beyond academia. Information on EU policies and developments will be widely disseminated through the website, a mobile info kiosk, and informal promotional campaigns. The JM networking event will further create synergies, fostering collaboration and ensuring long-term engagement. Through this dynamic and interconnected approach, the Chair directly benefits students, academics, policymakers, business professionals, and the general public, making a lasting contribution to EU studies and beyond.
