Description
Description | The main object is to create a new Module in “European Innovative and Sustainable Regulation” as a spin-off of the existing course on EU Institutions, Law and Market, at the Univ. of Rome Tor Vergata. Participants will be involved in a set of modules offered over a 3-year period (6 ECTS - 40h per year). The course-module will offer interdisciplinary lectures, seminars and workshops on specific topics delivered by international scholars and experts. It will be divided in 4 sub-modules dealing with: 1) An introduction to EU Law: Innovative and Sustainable Strategy, Policy and Regulation; 2) Innovation and Sustainability in Public Procurement; 3) Green and Sustainable Finance; 4) Artificial Intelligence in decision-making processes of the Public Administrations. The Module is designed for graduate students from national/international Universities, with a background in EU Studies, as well as for scholars, institutional representatives and policy makers interested in developing a specific background in this field and private companies. The first part of the course aims at providing participants with the foundations of the EU legal background and of Innovative and Sustainable development’s principles and to deal with the critical role that can be played by the EU legal system in facing related challenges. It will provide participants with the tools for dealing with the digital and sustainable transition in the society and the economy. The second part will focus on three fields of investigation. The expected results address the need to support the traditional teaching, with a specialized Module that focuses on the topics described, stimulating the research through seminars and lectures in a crucial area of EU integration studies. It will contribute to set up productive ground for Innovation and Sustainable development through research, educational and dissemination activities. Outcomes will be a dedicated website with an original database and an open access book. |
