Description

Description

The European Metals lithium project is a hard rock lithium mining and processing project located in the Krušné hory Mountains, Czech Republic. It is Europe's largest documented hard rock lithium resource, with 708.2 million tonnes of lithium resources. The project targets production of 29,386 tonnes per annum of battery-grade lithium hydroxide, representing about 8% of projected EU lithium demand by 2030. The project benefits from a €360 million government grant and additional EU funding, reducing capital expenditure and development risks. The processing facility is planned to be located at the former Prunérov 1 Power Station site, leveraging existing industrial infrastructure to optimize construction and operational efficiency. Production is planned to commence in 2026 with a 25-year mine life.
