Description
Description | European Students of Industrial Engineering and Management (ESTIEM) is a European Non-Governmental Organisation (ENGO) whose members consist of 78 Local Associations. It aims to promote the connection between students, companies, and professors through its activities and initiatives in the Industrial Engineering and Management (IEM) field, and supports the personal and professional development of students. To contribute to these goals ESTIEM provides complementary IEM non-formal and informal education and other events enabling the development of youth and providing them with the necessary skills for the labour market, social life, and active citizenship. ESTIEM is moreover active in research in the IEM field. Social and environmental responsibility plays a key role in the development of the offering. ESTIEM's primary target group is IEM Students. Through the Local ESTIEM Associations, ESTIEM has a potential reach of approximately 60.000 IEM Students. Circa 220 events will be organised in 2025, in addition to online sessions, and will enable the connection of young Europeans. Around 2000 students are expected to travel to offline events. Local ESTIEM Associations are given the ability to influence and develop their local communities thanks to adequate support and benchmarking. Students are furthermore given the opportunity to work on a voluntary basis for ESTIEM, which contributes to developing their hard and soft skills and intercultural knowledge. ESTIEM totalises close to 150 Youth Workers. IEM research conducted by ESTIEM aims to benefit European policymaking as well as corporate and institutional partners. |
