Description
Description | The project “ESSPROS – Unemployment Benefits Recipients” aims to increase the efficiency of social protection data production processes in order to improve the statistics on unemployment benefits recipients (UBR). The general objective of the project is to produce the data on the number of UBR. The action is going to contribute to the development of proposals for tangible improvements in the production process of ESSPROS statistics, in order to achieve the expected results in terms of improving the availability of social protection statistics. The issue of extension of the category of ESSPROS beneficiaries is treated as the part of the European Commission's broader strategy to strengthen the links between social and macroeconomic indicators in the area of macroeconomic governance. The main objectives of the project are: 1. Transmitting to Eurostat the data on UBR as of 2019 and 2020. 2. Developing the quality report for the reporting period describing the metadata for recorded values. 3. Providing to Eurostat the report describing and explaining the data production process, taking into account all aspects of the data compilation. The impact of the project is the extension of the reporting scope of ESSPROS by introducing a new supplementary module on the number of UBR to the regular annual transmission of the data on the social protection system in Poland. In case of the successful implementation of all activities of the project, such transmission will be carried out on a generally applicable basis starting from 2023. The target group of the project consists of the institutional data users requesting the data on social protection, including the OECD, the International Labour Organisation and the EC Directorate-General for Employment. The results of the project will facilitate the improvement in methodological coherence and complexity of social protection data. |
