Description
Description | Historically, the circulation of the European repertoire had a disadvantage internationally, however since the introduction of European Talent Exchange in 2003, new and emerging European pop music was given a better chance of pursuing an international career. Since the initial launch 20 years ago, the European Talent Exchange has pushed boundaries and facilitated cross-border exchanges and contributed to the successful internationalisation of emerging artists significantly. The platform is building on the results achieved with members and partner festivals, taking it to the next level. European Talent Exchange will continue to strengthen the European music ecosystem, the cross- border circulation of European artists and the promotion of non-national European music in Europe and beyond. With its main objective of facilitating the circulation of European repertoire, artists, and productions in Europe, it also seeks to stimulate the European music ecosystem to work better together. For 2024-2027 the priorities of European Talent Exchange lie in the continuous circulation of new and emerging European artists, further development sustainability of the live music ecosystem, diversity and inclusion, as well as technical innovation for the sector. In the project period 2024-2027 the Platform expands its eligibility to media members that contribute to digital strategy. By adding the first media related Platform member, EBU and their associated media partners across the continent, a considerable impact is added in terms of an artist’s visibility. The media partners will play an active role in participating artists content creation and online distribution across the continent and beyond. European Talent Exchange brings together emerging artists, European export offices, and European and global partner festivals coordinated by Yourope, alongside the EBU and online media outlets. |
