Description
Description | The ETGG2030 project objectives are (1) to provide a sustainable tourism training and innovation service for SMEs in the tourism value chain to promote sustainability for SMEs and support the SMEs in the certification process, and (2) to bring together SMEs, HEIs and other tourism stakeholders in the six project partner countries into a European knowledge economy that can be extended to other TOURCOOP projects and other relevant EU-level stakeholders interested in sustainability certification for SMEs. The project methodology contains the following steps: (1) Development and implementation of an SME training and innovation support system consisting of online resources and training modules, as well as information to further support SME sustainability (a project website with information on the path to certification, lists of expert coaches, certification systems, self-assessment tools, and training materials and tools). Instead of the Tourism2030.eu portal, a new ETGG2030 project website which will be set up by the consortium to implement the knowledge and training system for SMEs and to communicate and disseminate the project results. There will be links to tools on the Tourism2030.eu portal that will be of use to the SMEs, all of which will be updated to be used by the SMEs in the program and for the application after the project. (2) Strengthening the sustainable tourism knowledge alliance across Europe, with HNEE acting as the knowledge hub steering the TRIANGLE network, which will be strengthened through collaboration with BSOs. (3) Supporting the certification process of SMEs, which will be trained, guided, audited and certified within the project duration. (4) Development of a networking area for outreach and collaboration on the ETGG2030 website to support SME training and/or networking opportunities for the certified SMEs. Information on all UN, EU and national sustainable tourism initiatives in partner countries relevant to the SME Going Green process, collected and analysed in the Going Green Report, will be made available here. (5) Implementing ETGG2030 promotion and marketing activities. The dissemination of the project activities and results in the partner countries and in Europe will be achieved through a comprehensive dissemination plan involving the etgg2030.com website, a LinkedIn channel, press releases, sustainable tourism stakeholder maps derived from the Tourism2030.eu platform, and the final conference. |
