Description
Description | Over 3 years, this project raises CM2 students' awareness of European values through history, intercultural exchanges and educational visits: Year 1: Study of the Second World War and European construction, with a visit to the Maison de l'Europe in Nantes and an approach to the Atlantic Wall locally, with a visit to the associated exhibitions. Year 2: Meeting with German correspondents in Third Place in Breisach-Am-Rhein on the border and discovery of the European Parliament in Strasbourg. Year 3: Exploration of the role of Jean Monnet and the European institutions during a visit to the Maison Jean Monnet, Europa Experience and the Maison de l'Europe in Paris. Each year, we will associate our long-standing partner school with these projects. These regular virtual and physical meetings with German correspondents make it possible to strengthen the cultural and linguistic openness of students and to create real European friendships. Each year of the project, European institutions and values will be addressed in class through a variety of complementary approaches: theoretical courses to understand their history, their functioning and their role, educational activities such as research, debates or projects collaborative to deepen learning. This project combines history, citizenship and exchanges, allowing students to become enlightened European citizens. A combination of theoretical learning, intercultural encounters and concrete experiences will allow students to understand, live and embody European values. |
