Description
Description | The project’s overarching objective is to establish a dynamic European Citizenship Education programme, designed to foster a critical understanding of meaningful work in the context of advanced robotics, AI, and technological transformations. Our approach is to introduce these resources through several innovative training courses for teachers and students, focusing on teachers of social, technological, and regulative subjects of European relevance. We emphasize interactive, non-formal teaching methods. In this context, we integrate the theme of meaningful work and the transformations in the labour market driven by technological progress, fostering a critical understanding of how these changes impact democratic participation, social cohesion, and the future of work. Our comprehensive plan includes: 1. Programme Structure and Methodology : The activities will focus on six pillars . a) Initial and Final Assessment of Training Needs b) Innovative Approach with Formal and Non-Formal Teaching c) Co-Construction of the Seasonal School d) Compact Workshop, offering an immersive experience at the European Parliament in Brussels e) Engagement with Stakeholders and Distinctive Actors f) Feedback and Content Updates 2. Integration with an On-line Platform: Development and incorporation of several training courses for teachers within an On-line Platform. This includes high education courses tailored for training needs. 3. High Education Courses: Development and implementation of a curriculum tailored for teachers, focusing on the social, ethical, and economic implications of emerging technologies in the labour market. These courses aim to strengthen European civic citizenship by equipping teachers with essential skills for their professional development, enabling them to integrate critical reflections on technical, social, and ethical aspects of AI, robotics, and automation into their teaching practices. |
