The project aims to increase students' knowledge of the European Union and raise their awareness of their active citizenship role. The quizzes and SWOT analysis carried out in the school revealed that students' knowledge is incomplete and the credibility of their sources of information is often questionable. To address this, EU-related subjects are being integrated into several subjects (e.g. geography, history, economics). Project-based learning and discussion clubs help to develop critical thinking and communication skills. EU Day includes presentations by local experts and interactive activities. The digital transition is supported by e-learning platforms, VR glasses and artificial intelligence tools. Disadvantaged students will be given special attention when providing opportunities to participate. Energy efficiency and sustainability will also be a priority in education. In-service training for teachers will ensure that they learn innovative methods. Regular surveys and feedback will help to continuously improve the programme. In the long term, the project aims to raise EU awareness and active participation in democratic life. Our most important objectives are: increasing the number of classes dealing with EU topics, increasing the number of subjects where EU knowledge is taught, increasing the number of extracurricular sessions where they deal with EU knowledge and competences, increasing the number of teachers teaching EU knowledge and competences, improving the quality innovative EU teaching and learning methods, expand EU knowledge and competences in innovative projects, increasing the number of students participating in national EU themed competitions, increasing the number of applicants for the European citizenship program and in every grade, by the end of the project lifetime, the percentile results of EU themed tests will increase.
