Description

In the general context given by the wars and economical crisis, the kids are in need of stability and correct understanding of politics and of organizations aim to build a brighter future. Through this project, our school is proposing to increase the knowledge about E.U. and promoting an active European Citizenship among students. The target group consists of 120 students -7th and 8th grade as direct beneficiaries -21 are from disadvantaged backgrounds, 95 girls, 10 with Roma origins. The profile of our school is theoretical, but the school program include only for the 7th grade 2 hours per year for studying the EU . Thus, knowing and understanding the role of EU is at a low level. The main objectives: developing knowledge about EU in different aspects increasing number of students and teachers who access official sites of EU as principal sources of information and to avoid the influence of the fake news, making the students understand the importance of EU and its role in our lives increasing the number of extra-curricular activities on this topic learning from a young age what an active European citizenship is promoting the European values and the democracy Main activities: -teaching- hours – an integrated course for 6 classes during 3 years -an E-twinning project to collaborate with other schools in Europe - extra-curricular activities, workshops, contests, round tables, events, models, short films, theatre sketches dedicated to Erasmus Days, Europe's Day, Languages Day - study visits to the European Institutions in Strassbourg and Brussels Tangible results: -a Guide of the EU - which explains the way the EU institutions work and the impact of EU politics in our everyday life. - a magazine ,, Being child in the European Union'' with accent on education, travel and work in the EU The impact will be both in terms of knowledge about EU and in development of skills , application of European values and practice of an active Citizenship in the future.
