"The project describes the activities to be carried out by the Ministry of Tourism and Sport as the national coordinating body for European Week of Sport 2022 and 2023 in Croatia. This will be the 8th and 9th edition of the EWoS in Croatia. For the first time, the project activities are planned for two years, which means that it covers the period of the European Week of Sport in 2022 and 2023. This project provides a continuous encouraging to engage in physical activity and sports, and allows us as a national coordinator easier coordination and more time dedicated to the promotion of EWoS. The overall objective of the project is to inspire people to change bad habits connected with their physical activity and to promote the importance of sport and healthy lifestyle through the organization of national events and promoting #BeActive campaign on national level. One of the main goals is also to promote sports in post pandemic time, as it has been noticed that many people have reduced their activity on regular basis. Through various events and activities the Ministry will try to make sport accessible to all groups of people, no matter of age, social status or physical predispositions. The Ministry will participate in the organization of several major events and a number of other events on the national, regional and local levels. Most of the events will be organized in September 2022 and 2023, as the official duration of EWoS is from 23 to 30 September. The main national events for 2022 will be the National Event on September 25 and #BeActive Night. During the Week Ministry will organise – Opening event, School day, Workplace day, Youth day, Home day, Outdoor event and Expert Conference. The edition of EWoS in 2023 will start with Opening event and #BeActive Night to be held on Saturday 23 September. On September 24 will be National day and the rest of the week will be organized: Home day, Senior day, School day, Workplace, Expert Conference and Outdoor event. "
