"European Week of Sport proposal from Sweden 2022-2023 Our focus themes are primarily Youth, Education, Sport clubs and outdoors. We want to secure biggest effect. Our goal is to make Sport Clubs/federations get back after pandemic restrictions and find new target groups – the kids that needs it the most. Primarily target group are children 6-12 years, especially children who are not physical active. To make sure we meet those children we will continue to arrange Schools events in those areas that have the greatest needs. The school events will be arranged in joint venture with our big and government funded project “Movement in School” that gives us access to local coordinators with great contacts with all local schools and sport clubs. Movement in School is a national project for more sport, exercise and understanding of physical literacy. Goals are to improve public health, well-being, and academic results. As previous years we will use our 19 local district organisations to make sure the European Week of Sport is spread in all of Sweden in as many places as possible. The events will offer a verity of physical activities for the visitors to try out. The come-and-try activities are presented in cooperation with local sport clubs. The clubs are selected and well-prepared. We will focus on arranging school events during the European School Sport Day, Friday the 30th. We are aiming on 500 School events and 80 000 participants. We will also arrange ~5 public events to make sure we are open to all and give public attention to our important #BEACTIVE messages in media. At least one of these will be a #BEACTIVE night event. We hope to reach at least 10 000 participants on our public events. All 19 districts will choose at least one flagship event in their region, to invite media, politicians, etc. We want to show all the alternatives and variation offered by Swedish Sport Clubs to motivate more to lifelong participation, including sports for all!
