Description
Description | WOMENEQUITY was born out of the need to raise awareness of the barriers that women face in accessing the labour market with the aim of improving this situation. To this end, it does so through cooperation between municipalities and entities from different European countries, understanding that this is a reality that goes beyond local and national borders. Likewise, both the mobility of workers allowed by the European Union and the benefits in terms of mobility that teleworking has brought about, highlight the need to address this issue from a European perspective since, as citizens of any country could work in another member state, the objectives of this project would not be understood if they had an application and vision limited by the territorial borders of a municipality. The project will be carried out in six different EU countries, giving the opportunity to local authorities, civil organisations, employers and women, especially young people, over 55s and migrants, to address the issue of access to the labour market through gender mainstreaming in the EU, comparing the situations of the territories involved, but also through a point of view that goes beyond a local vision, thus giving the concrete opportunity to experience European citizenship. The objective of WOMENEQUITY, as already mentioned, is to make visible and improve the conditions of access to the labour market for women, specifically in the municipalities and geographical areas directly involved by this project. This objective will be achieved through three phases and seven events: needs analysis; drafting of the Guide of Recommendations and Good Practices; and dissemination of results and sustainability of the project. |
