EU Youth Dialogue 2021 Ireland The EU Youth Strategy 2019-27 and EU Youth Goals provide us with a framework for the EU Youth Dialogue process in Ireland and we aim to engage, connect and empower young people, particularly those that are marginalised through the EU Youth Dialogue process. Through the EU Youth Dialogue process in Ireland, the National Youth Council of Ireland, with the members of the National Working Group and in partnership with young people will increase the engagement in the 8th cycle of EU Youth Dialogue on space and participation for all. We will organise and deliver 16 consultation and implementation events with over 300 ;training, support and capacity building for young people and the youth work sector to empower and connect young people with policy makers to influence policy and facilitate young people as agents of change. One of the priorities is to reach out to non-organised youth and to consolidate our good practice with regard to young people with fewer opportunities, creating spaces for young people with a focus on inclusion. We will provide upskilling and training opportunities for the young people involved in the process through a new tool on Youth Participation and Youth Empowerment. An ongoing monitoring and evaluation strategy will include a report on the evaluation of the EU Youth Dialogue – Young Voices in Ireland. This report is based on 30 interviews with young people and decision makers from the process. It outlines the impact of the project on young people and their organisations. This report highlights the impact of the process as a model of democratic engagement which provides a space to grow and develop capacity to influence decisions and policy; a place where key skills are fostered and where young people learn to use their voice strategically. The project actively targets and facilitates diverse participation and explores the connection with Europe and European spaces for youth democracy.
