Description

Description

As a team of researchers and JM Modules’ Coordinators with a genuine interest in European Integration, we propose to establish for the first time in an Albanian public HEI a Centre of Excellence (The Europeanization of Public Policies in Albania), to promote synergies between public university departments both experienced and inexperienced in European Studies, policymakers, relevant NGOs and other civil society actors. CoE objectives/ actions: Promote excellence in teaching in the field of European Union studies/ Teaching modules addressing the impact of EU Integration from multidisciplinary perspectives in both faculties that have an already proven Jean Monnet experience and faculties that are newly included in EU specific courses; Advanced research in the law, political science, economy, and sociology areas, to evaluate the Albanian progress with the Europeanization of formal and informal procedures and processes; Foster the dialogue between the academic world and society/ Training activities with lawyers; Open forums with policymakers, experts, and civil society representatives. Reach out to the general public and spread knowledge about the EU/ Dissemination events such as online academic forums with national and international researchers and EU representatives and debate tournaments to train and engage UT students in the discussion of Integration Process strategies and procedures. Benefiting from the project: 14 Researchers, 1000 students, 2500 lawyers and assistant lawyers, the general public (depending on public events attendance). Expected results: Our long-term goal is to actively contribute to bringing Europe, with its formal and informal institutions, closer to the Albanian citizens. Type and number of outputs: 1 new teaching course (annual); three intensive courses, three summer schools, 7 international conference papers, 1 monograph, three commemoration events, 12 forums, 3 workshops, continuous public campaign; website.
