Description
Description | Europictures is production and distribution company based in Rome founded in 2009, focusing on the release of European arthouse cinema and local Italian feature films. Acquisitions include festival hits and awards winners like the Golden Lion for Best Film HAPPENING by Audrey Diwan, the Silver Bear for Best Director BOTH SIDES OF THE BLADE by Claire Denis, the critically acclaimed PARIS, 13TH DISTRICT by Jacques Audiard, the Berlinale Silver Lion for Best Actress UNDINE by Christian Petzold. The catalogue also include French feature films like THE SPECIALS by Olivier Nakache and Eric Toledano, THE FAITHFUL MAN by Louis Garrel, GHOSTS OF ISMAEL by Arnaud Desplechin, critically acclaimed cinephile films by cult filmmakers Quentin Dupieux’s DEERSKIN and Gaspar Noe’s CLIMAX. In 2021 Europictures became a partner of “Circuito Cinema”, the prestigious chain of independent arthouse cinemas with a total reach of over 120 screens mainly concentrated in the bigger cities. The company aims to enrich its line up and to strengthen its position in the arthouse market by acquiring arthouse films with cross over potentials. Most recent acquisitions include: the Silver Bear for Best Director BOTH SIDES OF THE BLADE by Claire Denis, the remake of Francis Veber’s 1976 comedy THE NEW TOY by James Huth with Daniel Auteuil, MARIA INTO LIFE by Lauriane Escaffre & Yvonnick Muller. Our goal is to invest the generated fund in the acquisition of 1 film Other People's Children and to invest in Advertising, Promotional and Digital Cost for the release on the same film: costs include marketing materials creation (poster, trailer, clips); social media marketing materials and investments; acquisitions of publicity spaces (mainly web and trailers in cinemas); promotional costs; digital costs for dubbing and subtitling, DCP film and trailer. |
