Europe - a home for all We are organising an anniversary twinning meeting, in the spirit of European values, solidarity, preserving European culture and out traditions, for building the future of our common home, Europe. The 5 day meeting in August 2022 will bring together delegations from Balassagyarmat, Érsekvadkert, Nógrádmarcal, the Association of Municipalities of the Mátra (HU), Rucar (RO), Dabrowa Tarnowska (PL), San Nicola Strada, Casapulla (IT), Heimenkirch (DE), Vlachovice (CZ), Vrlika HR) and Kamez (ALB). In connection with the project, a twinning agreement will be signed with the town of Balta in war-torn Ukraine. Our project is planned to coincide with the anniversary of International Youth Day and the Pan-European Picnic. The anniversaries are suitable for elaborating the following themes: -solidarity in the past and present -Building the future of Europe across generations -Exploring the achievements and opportunities by recalling significant anniversaries of EU integration -Jointly developing responses to crisis situations. We will organise the professional programmes of our meeting around the European issues that interest and concern people most, to raise awareness among our citizens of the vision of how the EU should work in the future: ●Economy and growth, climate change, human rights and democracy ●the problems and opportunities for youth in the EU (youth unemployment - DiscoverEU)–we want to address these issues in the most diverse way possible in order to build a common European future. We will diversify the themes that shape the lives and future of citizens with cultural and sporting programmes, and present EU-funded developments in an experiential way. Our programme is open to all ages and includes photo and drawing competitions for the youngest generation and a sports competition for the older generation. We provide opportunities for: - intercultural dialogue, - debate on the future of Europe, - developing joint solidarity actions.
