Description
Description | The project builds on themes from previous years and introduces new areas focused on environmental education, supporting solidarity, and presenting the benefits of EU membership. Its goal is to strengthen relationships between partner cities, promote tolerance and intergenerational bonds, and increase the involvement of younger generations through experiential learning. The project focuses on education about the EU, active participation, regional development, gender equality, and strengthening intercultural relations. It aims to educate about the history and role of the EU, environmental responsibility, and equal opportunities through interactive and experiential activities. The project also promotes cooperation between communities and raises awareness of the benefits of EU membership, acting as a prevention against Euroscepticism. The methodology includes a combination of workshops, discussions, cultural activities, and gamification, making topics like participation, solidarity, and gender equality more accessible to participants. The project involves more than 350 citizens of Slovakia, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Romania, and Croatia. It contains two events: a webinar for the representatives of towns and organisations and an event for citizens of town twinning. |
